Revisions to the Voters’ List

The list of electors (Voters’ List) prepared under Section 23 of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 will be available in the Clerk’s office, at the Municipal Hall on SEPTEMBER 4, 2018.

Electors should examine the list to ensure that their name and relevant information are correctly shown.

Applications for additions, corrections or deletions from the list may be made by an elector by completing and filing a form obtainable at the office of the Clerk.  Presentation of identification will be required.

The last day for filing applications concerning additions, corrections or deletions shall be OCTOBER 22, 2018.

Candidates can file a nomination paper at the City Clerk’s Office at any time during normal business hours until Nomination Day (July 27, 2018) at 2:00 p.m.

Nomination Day

Friday, July 27, 2018 (9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)
Last day for candidates to file a nomination paper at the City Clerk’s Office.  Nominations close at 2:00 p.m. This is also the deadline for withdrawal.

Nominations Certified

Monday, July 30, 2018
City Clerk certifies candidate nomination papers by 4:00 p.m.

Campaign Period

Tuesday, May 1, 2018 – Monday, December 31, 2018
The Campaign Period starts when a candidate files a nomination paper and ends on December 31, 2018.

Voters’ List

Tuesday, September 4, 2018
Preliminary Voters’ List is available for candidates and revisions begin.

Tuesday, September 25, 2018
Interim Voters’ List is available for candidates and revisions continue.

Election Signs

Thursday, August 23, 2018 – Monday, October 29, 2018
Candidates can display election signs sixty (60) days before an election until seven (7) days after the election.

Campaign Finances

Tuesday, September 25, 2018
Final Certificate of Maximum Campaign Expenses available for candidates.
