THE NATION MUNICIPALITY IS DEVELOPING A PARKS & RECREATION MASTER PLAN

THE NATION, July 10th, 2019 — The Nation Municipality is currently in the process of developing a Parks and Recreation Master Plan to examine the recreation infrastructures and existing services and to provide a clear and concise strategic plan with achievable goals for the next 15 years. During the Council meeting on May 27, 2019, The Nation Municipal Council awarded the Parks and Recreation Master Plan contract to the consultant group PRC Solutions.

PRC Solutions will work closely with the municipality on the development of the Master Plan and will organize focus groups, workshops and surveys to gather ideas, experiences, and any information related to parks, culture and recreation in The Nation.

Two workshops will be held during the month of August. One on August 20th, 2019 at the St‐Isidore Community Centre from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and one on August 21st, 2019 at the St‐Albert Community Centre from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The registration period will open soon. People will be able to register online, by phone or by email.

There will be many ways for the community to get involved. All opportunities for engagement will be shared with the community via The Nation Municipality’s Facebook page and website
