Discover fun, active programs for everyone! From friendly games to social drop-ins, our all-ages activities are a great way to move, connect, and try something new, whether you’re spending time with family, meeting neighbours, or engaging with the community.

 

St-Isidore Recreation Centre
Tuesdays • 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Fridays • 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Enjoy public skating for all ages at the arena! Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced skater, glide at your own pace and have fun with family or friends.
Skating aids are available to help both children and adults stay balanced and feel confident on the ice.

Users aged 12 and under must wear a CSA approved helmet and must be accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 16.

Come play shinny hockey for all ages at the arena! Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player, enjoy some fun on the ice.

Parents & Tots

Relaxed, playful, and welcoming, our Parents & Tots programs offer a casual drop-in space where little ones can explore, move, and play freely. Caregivers can connect with one another while children enjoy open-ended activities in a safe, friendly environment.

Are you looking for a place where your little ones can play, explore, and make friends? Come enjoy field time! We have plenty of space for your little ones to move and explore. Toys and sports equipment are available on-site, but you can also bring your favorite games from home!

Outdoor shoes, cleats, food, and drinks (except water) are not permitted in the turf area.

Looking for a fun way to get your little ones moving on the ice? Come skate with your little ones at the arena! There’s plenty of space for your children to glide, explore, and have fun, while you skate alongside them. It’s also a great opportunity to meet other parents!

Active, fun, and social, our kids’ programs and teen programs each offer youth a chance to move, play, and connect with friends. Activities are tailored by age group and are always full of energy.

Enjoy an afternoon of fun and social connection with a variety of light games! From friendly matches of cornhole and darts to classic board games, there’s something for everyone. These activities are designed to be easy to learn, accessible for all skill levels.

These sessions are a great opportunity to get active, have fun, and connect with others in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Four lanes are available and shoe rentals are free.

The Nation Sports Complex

Chair yoga is a gentle practice in which movements are performed while seated on a chair or with the help of a chair. 

Classes begin with a gentle warm-up to prepare the body for movement. This is followed by a series of adapted movements and stretches that focus on posture, breathing, and relaxation. Chair yoga is designed to improve flexibility, muscle strength, and stability.

This exercise program was designed for people aged 55 and older who want to improve their balance through increased physical strength.  

The exercises do not involve jumping and are performed while seated on a chair or leaning on a chair if necessary. The program consists of three components: group exercises, home exercises, and home prevention.

This presentation is part of Heart Month and aims to raise awareness about cardiovascular health. It covers key risk factors, the importance of physical activity and healthy habits, warning signs, and simple actions to support heart health. The session is informative, accessible, and encourages lifestyle choices that reduce cardiovascular risk.

A time reserved for seniors to skate peacefully, improve balance, and stay active. Adult-size skating aids are available for those who need extra support on the ice.

Social, active, and engaging, our adults-only programs offer a mix of drop-in and structured activities designed for ages 16 and older. Whether you’re looking to get moving, try something new, or connect with others in the community, these programs provide a welcoming space to unwind and have fun.

We recommend that you bring your own yoga mat; a limited number are available for those who don’t have one

Zumba is a dynamic group fitness class that blends Latin and international dance rhythms with easy-to-follow movements. “The Nation’s Golden Connections” is our program designed to enrich the lives of adults aged 55 and over by offering opportunities to gather, stay active, and connect within their community. What is the Seniors Active Living Centres (SALC) Program?

It is an initiative from the Ministry for Seniors and Accessibility that supports over 400 centres across Ontario. The program aims to promote the health, well-being, and independence of adults aged 55 and over, while encouraging social inclusion and an active lifestyle.
