Take notice that Council of the Corporation of The Nation Municipality will hold a public meeting on December 16, 2019 at 6:45 p.m. at The Nation Town Hall, 958 Route 500 West, Casselman, to consider proposed amendments to The Nation Municipality Zoning By-Law 2-2006 under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter p.13, as amended.

ZBL-26-2019: The proposed Zoning By-Law would change the zoning category from ”Highway Commercial Zone (CH)” to ”Rural Zone – Exception (RU-X41)” for the property located on Part of Lot 4, Concession 14, former South Plantagenet, now The Nation, being Part 1, Plan 46R2585 and Part 1, 46R3149, in The Nation Municipality. If the proposed by-law amendment is adopted, rural uses, including single family dwelling, would be permitted on the property.

ZBL-27-2019: The proposed Zoning By-Law would change the zoning category from ”Recreational Commercial Zone (CR)” to ”Highway Commercial Zone – Exception (CH-X8)” for the property located on Part of Lot 19, Concession 20, former South Plantagenet, now The Nation, being Part 2, Plan 46R2561, in The Nation Municipality and bearing civic number 2251 County Road 8. If the proposed by-law amendment is adopted, an organic transfer station, processing and storage facility would be a permitted use on the property.

ZBL-28-2019: The proposed Zoning By-Law would change the zoning category from ”High Density Residential Zone – Exception (R3-X4)” to ”High Density Residential Zone – Exception (R3-X26)” for the property located on Part of Block 34 (169 to 179 Bourdeau Boulevard) Plan 50M298, The Nation, County of Russell. If the proposed by-law amendment is adopted, the minimum lot frontage for apartment building would be 24 metres instead of 30 metres and the minimum interior side yard would be 1.8 metre instead of 3 metres.
