GOOD NEWS! This winter, overnight roadside parking will no longer be banned by default in The Nation Municipality.
From November 15, 2025, to April 1, 2026, you may park overnight on the street unless a parking ban is in effect.
The Public Works Department will issue parking bans when winter events are forecasted, or when municipal operations are planned.
Note: Parking bans may be issued to allow maintenance work, even when no adverse weather is forecast overnight.
Planning to park on the street overnight?
Check our website after 2 p.m. to see if a parking ban is in effect.
If the red banner is active, no parking is permitted between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.
Don’t have enough parking space in your driveway? To assist residents and and to facilitate the efforts of our Public Works teams, the municipality has established designated parking areas for vehicles that cannot be parked in a private driveway overnight.
