Information for the bider:
1. All tenders shall be submitted on the Municipality’s Tender Form and shall not contain any proposals other than those requested in the Tender Form.
2. The tender is based on a fixed price per cut and not annually. The grass cutting season is from May 1st – Oct. 31st. The contractor will invoice the municipality once a month for services rendered and shall indicate separately the amount of HST being charged.
3. The contractor will cut the grass, trim the edges, all fence lines, around trees and buildings and generally maintain the properties in a clean condition. Grass should be either pulverized or picked up.
4. The Municipality reserves the right to renew the contract in October 2025 for an additional 2 years till October 2027 based on the same bid prices.
5. The contractor will maintain liability insurance in the amount of $5,000,000.00 at all times during the term of this contract and on all equipment and vehicles. Commercial General Liability insurance policy insures against third party claims for bodily injury (including death), persona injury and/or property damage as a result of actual or alleged negligence of the Contractor. This policy shall include:
a) Municipality as Additional Insured
b) Cross Liability / Severability of Interests clause
c) Contractual Liability
d) Minimum thirty (30) day’s written notice of cancellation or non-renewal to the Municipality
6. After the contract has been awarded, the contractor will provide within 10 days a Certificate of Clearance issued by Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (W.S.I.B).
7. The Corporation of the Nation Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all bids for any reason whatsoever and to accept any bid considered best for its interest. Lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
8. Contractors may bid on one or both sections.
9. A mandatory site will be held on Friday April 14th, 2023, starting at 9 am from The Nation Satellite office at 3210 County Rd. 2, Fournier, ON K0B 1G0.
10. Tender closing date is April 17th 2023 at noon local time and submissions will be accepted by email only.

The request for tender must be received by 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 5th, 2023, (delivered personally or mailed) in a sealed envelope to which you will use the attached label.
The Pickup will be available for inspection at the municipal office of Casselman located at 958 Route 500 West. Monday to Friday 9:00am to 3:00pm between April 24-28, and the municipal garage in Fournier located at 3248 County Rd 9 Monday to Friday 9 am to 3:00pm between May 1st-5. You cannot leave the property with the truck. No questions will be answered on site.
