Accessibility

The Nation Municipality is committed to providing equitable access to programs, services, and facilities for all residents and visitors, including people with disabilities.

We strive to create an inclusive and barrier-free community by ensuring that individuals are treated with dignity, independence, integration, and equal opportunity. Accessibility is considered in all aspects of our operations, including customer service, communication, infrastructure, and digital services.

In accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), the Municipality continues to identify, remove, and prevent barriers to accessibility. We are dedicated to meeting the requirements of the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR) and to continuously improving accessibility across our organization.

Accessible formats and communication supports are available upon request.

Accessibility Advisory Committee

The committee provides advice to Council on how to meet and apply accessibility standards in the community. This includes helping with accessibility planning, reviewing accessibility reports, and offering guidance.
