Council Meetings’ Agendas and Minutes

An official record is kept of the decisions and discussions that take place at every meeting. These records are called the minutes of the meeting and are recorded by the Clerk. The minutes are presented at the next meeting where they may be passed as presented or as amended. Once the minutes are passed by Council they become a public document.

Submit a Question Related to a Council Meeting

  1. Each member of the public can submit one question or comment by noon on the day of the meeting:
    1. via the fillable form below; or
    2. by emailing the Clerk’s office; or
    3. by submitting a written letter to the Clerk’s Office.
  2. All questions must be related to an item on the upcoming meeting’s agenda.
  3. All questions will be screened to ensure they are respectful and relevant (for example: appropriate language, relevancy to agenda, and respectful in nature). The screening will be done by the Clerk’s Office prior to the meeting. All questions will be kept in accordance with our records management and retention by-law.
  4. Questions will be read out loud during the council meeting and answered either by a Council or staff member.
  5. If your question is about an item added to a meeting, you can submit your question to be read at the next council meeting.

Delegation / Petition Application Form

Pursuant to section 14.1.1 of the Procedural By-law, number 91-2024, all requests must be submitted in writing to the Clerk’s Office no later than 4pm on the Thursday (7 days prior) preceding the preparation and distribution of the agenda.

 

 

 

Submitting an application does not guarantee approval. We reserve the right to refuse any request or deny applications based on our policies, eligibility criteria, or other considerations. All decisions are made at our discretion.
