The Nation Municipality has issued a Preventive Water Boil Advisory for residents connected to the Limoges municipal water system. This advisory is being issued as a precautionary measure due to a low-pressure event within the water distribution system.
At this time, there is no confirmed contamination; however, provincial drinking water regulations require this advisory to be issued under these conditions.
Residents must boil tap water for at least 1 minute before drinking, preparing food or beverages, making ice, and, brushing teeth. Alternatively, use bottled water for these purposes.
Municipal staff are actively addressing the issue and conducting system monitoring and water quality sampling in coordination with the appropriate regulatory authorities.
