The Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will deliver a fraud prevention presentation with the assistance of RBC members.

Ontarians are defrauded of hundreds of millions of dollars each year. With the consistent prevalence of scams and frauds, most Canadians, often seniors, are vulnerable to several types of fraudulent schemes. “Financial crimes by strangers” is one of the greatest areas of vulnerability.
The Russell County Ontario Provincial Police, in partnership with the Canadian Anti-Fraud Center, the Residence Lajoie and the Embrun RBC would like to address the issue of fraud within Russell County. Members of the Ontario Provincial Police will deliver a fraud prevention presentation with the assistance of RBC members on Thursday March 28th, 2024, from 10am to noon. This event will take place at Residence Lajoie, 12 Albert Ouimet St, St-Albert, Ontario. This presentation will be in French.
