Although groups who have rented the field started to use it in the evenings and on the weekends, the complex is not yet open to the public. Many contractors are still working in the building every day for some finishing touches. We are currently training the staff and are looking forward to the official launch of our new facility! On Monday October 4th 2021, the traditional groundbreaking ceremony was held on the site of the future Nation Sports Complex in Limoges. Member of parliament Francis Drouin, representatives from the Conseil Scolaire de District Catholique de l’Est Ontarien, from The Nation’s Council, from IDEA Engineering, and from McDonald Brothers Construction were present.
At their Special Meeting held on August 30, 2021, the members of Council awarded the construction contract to McDonald Brothers Construction Inc. More information as to the construction details and timelines will follow.

We want your feedback on the Nation Sports Complex The Nation’s residents are invited to review the plans for the new Sports Complex. Please consult the drawings and the renderings below.
The architects presented the plans to Council on Monday April 26th, 2021 at 6pm. You can watch the presentation here.
We encourage you to share your comments before May 7th, 2021 with the Recreation Department and with your councillors.
