Each year, the Municipality conducts its biannual flushing of hydrants throughout the village of St Isidore and Limoges. The flushing is usually completed during the months of April and October, it takes approximately 2 weeks to complete, on average. This process is necessary for cleaning our watermain pipes and make sure the proper functioning of the hydrants.

From April 8th to 19th, The Nation Municipality Water Department will start flushing fire hydrants. Flushing will be conducted between the hours of 8am and 3pm.

Hydrant flushing activities may cause a drop in water pressure and create temporary instances of discolored water from sediment. It is recommended that residents run their taps for 5 to 10 minutes before consuming water if it is discolored.

The Water Department will continue to monitor the water quality during this period to ensure that the water remains safe to drink. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but flushing is an important part of our system maintenance.

NOTE: Due to the regular operational work taking place during the hydrant flushing period, we are unable to provide exact timelines for flushing on a specific street.
