The Nation Municipality’s Fire Department has escalated the total fire ban, effective immediately.
All open-air fires remain strictly prohibited until further notice, including for fire permit holders. Previously approved permits are invalid for the duration of the ban.
Outdoor fires for cooking are prohibited under the ban, except for gas cooking appliances specifically designed for that purpose. These appliances must be supervised at all times.
We strongly advise extreme caution in all public and private outdoor spaces. Under current conditions, the following activities pose a high fire risk: operating ATVs, motorcycles, chainsaws, generators, smoking, or using any spark-producing equipment.
