Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Schedule B for the Replacement of Route 800 East Bridge C001, approximately 0.18 km east of County Road 7/St. Albert Road East, Municipality of Nation, United Counties of Prescott and Russell.

Egis (formerly McIntosh Perry Consulting Engineers Ltd.) hereby gives notice on behalf of the Municipality of Nation that an application has been made to the Minister of Transport, pursuant to the Canadian Navigable Waters Act for approval of the work described herein and its site and plans. Pursuant to paragraph 7(2) of the said Act, Egis has deposited with the Minister of Transport, on the on-line Common Project Search Registry (http://cps.canada.ca/) and under NPP File Number 2014-400063 a description of the following work, its site and plans:

The Route 800 East Bridge C001 has experience deterioration and is at the end of its service life. The replacement works will include, but is not limited to:

  • Replace existing structure with concrete post abutments, steel beam base component, twin 4610mm CSPs Installation of multiple cell corrugated steel pipe culverts (round CSP twin culverts 4610 mm);
  • Temporary closure of Route 800 East and the creation of a temporary bypass road, and;
  • The waterway will be closed, and navigation will be impacted for approximately 6 weeks during construction in 2024.

The bridge will be closed to traffic for the duration of the construction and traffic will be detoured. The bridge replacement works is anticipated to take approximately 8 weeks to complete.

The replacement works will be undertaken across Butternut Creek located on Route 800 East (also known as Paul Latour Road), approximately 0.18 km east of County Road 7/St. Albert Road East within the Right-of-Way and between Lot 9 and Concession 8 and 9 at 45.286320 N -75.068351 W within the Municipality of Nation, United Counties of Prescott and Russell.
