Water Quality, Testing & Reports

Our municipality is committed to delivering high-quality water to residents. By-law 53-2021 ensures proper installation, maintenance, and repair of water meters while outlining penalties for non-compliance to promote sustainable water use. We regularly monitor water quality, and while all parameters meet Ontario’s standards, sodium levels exceed the provincial aesthetic guideline of 20 mg/L in some areas. Here are the results for St-Isidore and Limoges:

Town Sodium Hardness
Limoges 35 mg/L 300mg/L (18 grains)
St-Isidore 25 mg/L 45mg/L (2 grains)

The hardness level in Limoges is elevated at approximately 300 mg/L. Hard water can affect appliances, plumbing, and cleaning efficiency. Installing a water softener is highly recommended to reduce mineral buildup, enhance water quality, and improve household water use.
