From May 1 to September 30, The Nation Municipality enforces restrictions on the use of water supplied by the municipal water system for all outdoor purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, watering lawns, gardens, flowers or hedges, filling swimming pools, and washing vehicles.
The following exceptions apply:
- Persons living at odd-numbered buildings are permitted to water on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.
- Persons living at even-numbered buildings are permitted to water on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.
- It is STRICTLY forbidden to use water from a municipal system for outdoor watering on Sundays.
- Persons watering manually are permitted to water at any time.
The Nation Municipality may implement additional measures to further restrict outdoor water use. These measures may include reducing the permitted watering hours or, if necessary, imposing a complete ban on all outdoor water use.
Any new water use restrictions and their effective date will be shared with residents through the municipal website, social media, and the alert system.
