Newly constructed in 2016, this park is the first park in The Nation Municipality that is ACCESSIBLE for all. The Soft Tile rubber surface, made from recycled tires, is absolutely awesome to play on and completely CSA approved. Parking also available on site.
The Gagnon Park is an historic site where you can find an authentic 1880’s house used as a museum. Picnic under the gazebo and then stroll through the park to learn about the Village Gagnon. The Municipality of La Nation takes its name from the river that crosses it. Take advantage of all the activities it offers; fishing, boat, watercraft, canoe, kayak.

The Larose Forest has become a must. Located on the outskirts of The Nation, this regional treasure is easily accessible to all. Take advantage of the hiking trails, tracks for mountain biking. Take a dog or horse sled ride. Take the trails for mountain biking, snowmobiling, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. You will be charmed and overwhelmed by the many kilometers of trails.
Various ATV trails exist throughout La Nation. The most important are in the Larose Forest administered by the United Counties of Prescott-Russell. In order to enjoy its trails, you must be a member of the Ontario Federation of ATV Clubs.
The Nation adopted by-law 27-2021 in January 2021. This by-law gives permission to use ATVs on municipal roads across the Nation. Some exceptions apply. Please consult the rules. You do not need to be a member of a club to travel on municipal roads. Regulations may vary for county roads.
A beautiful walking trail with benches and a scenic view of the Castor River. Trail entrances are located at the end of Manitou Street, Larose Lane, Forest Lane and Maple Grove.

The Nation has more than 325 kilometers of wide country roads, in good condition and located in an enchanting environment surrounded by farms and forests. Discover the roadside bicycle paths crisscrossing the countryside from the Ottawa River to the St. Lawrence River.
On the outskirts of The Nation, discover the Prescott-Russell recreational trail. A bike path of 72km in rock dust.
