Notice of 1st Sitting of Court of Revision
Drainage Act, R.S.O. 1990 c. D17
Re: Lionel Levac and Deschamps Municipal Drains
To whom it may concern,
Take notice that your property is assessed for the improvement of the above-mentioned drainage works under Section 78 of the Drainage Act. Attached is a provisional by-law exclusive of the Engineer’s report. Details of your assessment are contained in the Engineer’s report dated September 5, 2025 which is available below.
The Court of Revision for the Lionel Levac and Deschamps Municipal Drains will take place on November 10, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. Details regarding this meeting are found on the attached “Notice of Court of Revision”.
As an owner of land within the watershed you can appeal your assessment on this project to the Court of Revision. If you wish to appeal to the Court of Revision, you must submit an appeal form no later than end of day October 30th, 2025.

Once an appeal form is submitted, it is strongly suggested that you plan on attending the Court of revision in-person.
If you do not have any assessment concerns, you do not need to attend this meeting.

Please be advised that a Council meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m. on October 14, 2025 at the Nation Municipality’s Town Hall, located at 958 route 500 West in Casselman, to consider the Engineer’s report for the Lionel Levac and the Deschamps Municipal Drains. During this special meeting, a summary of the Engineer’s report will be presented, and members of the public may ask questions or submit comments. Council will consider the provisional adoption of said report.
If you do not attend this meeting, Council will proceed without you, however, you may submit your comments or questions in writing to the Clerk’s Office before 4:00 p.m. on October 7, 2025.
